All I had to do was simply copy those folders from the Original NAS to the Media Share I created on the New NAS. I had all of my media stored in one Share called Media in the Original NAS with folders for various media types. Once you have both NASs on the same firmware version, I’d advise you to set up a share that contains all of your media files (music, movies, pictures, etc.) (Share +Folder). Remember to turn it back to ON when the entire process is complete if that is your preference.

What I’m doing is: add another subfolder, copy over the videos. However I cannot for the life of me add additional videos and get them recognized. Initially it didn’t detect any videos, but in fidgeting around to create log output I could post here it suddenly worked on the n-th attempt of creating the library and adding stuff to it.

I have: a other videos library, with the Plex Video File Scanner and the Personal Media Agent running. I wanted to keep some downloaded YouTube content in my PMS, however it’s a major pain, since most of the time the Media Scanner does not find any media.
