If you click a link that does not have those steps listed, open a second window using the Lightroom 3 link to see those 'Important Instructions'. They are critical especially steps 1, 2 and 3.

to fix that so your ps cs6 is returned to a perpetually licensed product, uninstall everything cc (including the cc desktop app) and uninstall your ps cs6. after your subscription lapses, your cs6 will probably cease to open (because it's been changed to subscription). you can continue to use your cs6 as long as your subscription (trial or otherwise) lasts.
because of, imo undesirable, behavior of the cc desktop app, your cs6 is probably now a subscription and no longer perpetually licensed.

after that trial period your cc programs will no longer open unless you pay money. you can try cc programs during that trial period and you can use your purchased cs6 during that trial.
